You told me I inspired it, the song you wrote about another girl.
So I'll act like I don't notice, get lost in another world.
Said I was the inspiration behind a song about her.
So I'll act like I don't notice the hazel eyes, when mine are so clearly blue.
And I know now that we weren't great.
And I know now that we were better when we used to stay up late.
And I know I used to run my fingers through your hair.
But I don't know when you stopped caring.
The first thing I ever stole was a pumpkin with you.
Will you tell me now was I a bad influence on you too?
We could go in circles all night long.
But I think both of us are wrong.
And I know now that we weren't great.
And I know now that we were better when we used to stay up late.
And I know I used to run my fingers through your hair.
But I don't know when you stopped caring.
And I'm going to do all the things we said we would do.
But it's kind of weird doing them, without you.
But i've got to move on with my life.
Think of you less all the time.
And I know now that we weren't great.
And I know now that we were better when we used to stay up late.
And I know I used to run my fingers through your hair.
But I don't know when you stopped caring.
No, I don't know when you stopped caring.
I absolutely dig the instrumentals for being so pleasant and catchy, the lyrics are very earnest and interesting in terms of storytelling and feeling, and the vocals are just so calming and peaceful.
I pretty much think every track is good but if I had to pick a few favorite tracks: Upstairs, Parents' House, Caroline, Cassette, and Ocean. Stephen Porritt
